Marsh Harbor Oceanview Vacation Condominium

 The Perfect Getaway

Marsh Harbour & The Abacos

The Abaco Islands consist of over 100 cays (meaning small islands and pronounced “keys”) that make up “The Abacos” - with Great Abaco Island being the largest.  Marsh Harbour is located on Great Abaco Island, and with a population of around 4,000, is the largest town in The Abacos.  Between Great Abaco Island and the chain of barrier cays (also known as the Out Islands or Family Islands) is the Sea of Abaco.  The Sea of Abaco is known as a boater’s paradise.  Only about 10 of the cays are inhabited.  The more settled of the barrier cays are Green Turtle Cay, Elbow Cay, Guana Cay, Treasure Cay, Lubbers Quarters and Man O War Cay.  All have their unique personalities and are worth exploring.  Public ferry transportation is available from Marsh Harbour to Elbow Cay, Guana Cay and Man O War Cay.

The Great Abaco Barrier Reef is the world’s third largest barrier reef and offers spectacular diving.  The crystal clear, warm water and miles of white sand beaches, combined with the friendly mix of locals and second home owners, makes The Abacos a great place to visit.

Location

This vacation (or long-term) rental feels secluded, but is conveniently located in the heart of the Marsh Harbour tourist area. It is an easy walk to the restaurants and shops.  A dive operation, ferry, and boat rental are across the street from the complex.  A couple blocks down is a car, scooter, bike rental shop.  You can even walk to the grocery store, bakery, liquor store and banks. Taxis are inexpensive and are a good way to get from the airport to the condo or anywhere else that is too far of a walk.

Marsh Harbour is a great location to use as a base for exploring all of the Abaco Islands.  Public ferries or renting your own boat are a great way to explore the other Cays.  Unless you want to drive to Treasure Cay and see other parts of Great Abaco Island, you don’t need a car.
